I received a socket assembly, Be block and heatsink today.  These are
the parts I need to replace the 4CX350F with the original 8072.

I'm assuming that the person who made the mod did so because they
wanted the higher output from the 4CX350F or that they thought 8072's
were rare and not because they had a problem with the HV power supply.

I have put these parts on the shelf as I will not be working on the
CX7A for a couple months.  

A fellow gave me a Hallicrafters SX-100.  He was about to pitch it in
the trash but offered it up "for the hauling".  It has some minor
cosmetic flaws but other than that looks to be in excellent shape.

He said it was working fine but he simply did not have the space or
need for it as he got an ICOM R-71 for his SWL work.  Nice looking
radio.
