Citrus county is holding classes for free if there is anyone interested.
Tech started yesterday and General will start Wednesday.  But if anyone is 
interested missing the one class doesn't matter as it is usually a class 
program description night.  I do not have a recent mailing list and I may 
not get home in time for the beginning of the net tonight.  Will you send 
this info out and read the info on the Club Net?   Someone may need the 
classes and our club, as far as I know, has no plans to hold any this 
spring.

Subject: Ham Radio Technician course for January 2008.

Purpose: To gain Emergency Communicators for Citrus County and provide an 
atmosphere of cooperation and team work between Emergency Management, (ARES) 
and the Citizens of the County.

If you are interested in learning about how radios work, gaining a new hobby 
and being able to help communicate during emergency situations, then Ham 
Radio is the thing for you.

There will be a Ham Radio Technicians course taught by the (ARES) group of 
Citrus County on the following dates: January 7th 14th 21st 28th and 
February 4th and 11th. Class times are 6:00pm until 9:00pm and will be held 
at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Lecanto.

The course and books are free. The only cost to you is $14.00 for the FCC 
Amateur Radio Technician License.
