*Catalina Island DX Expedition 2026 – HI2LD*

We are pleased to announce that on April 11, 2026, a group of members and
operators from La Liga Dominicana de Radio Amateurs, Inc. will conduct a
DXpedition to the beautiful Catalina Island—an exotic destination located
off the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic. This event will provide
amateur radio operators worldwide with the opportunity to make contact
with this unique island.

During this activity, we will be operating under the callsign HI2LD across
various bands, with the goal of making contact with operators worldwide
and promoting the spirit of amateur radio. This special event will be
active on SSB, and we anticipate a high level of activity throughout the
day.

Additionally, certificates of participation will be issued to all operators
who successfully establish contact with station HI2LD during this 
DXpedition.
These certificates will be available for direct download via a link on our
QRZ.com page, located within our account section. Don't forget to log your
contact in your logbook!

We invite you to join us for this exciting DXpedition and make a contact
with us. Stay tuned for our activity—we would love to hear from you! Please
remember to log our information in your logbook.

A group of amateur radio operators from Świnoujście-Poland will embark
on a mini radio expedition to the picturesque Danish Island of Bornholm
(IOTA EU-030) between April 12–16th. Located in the Baltic Sea, this
island has been attracting ham radio operators from around the world
for years, offering excellent conditions for radio communication. Look
for the following callsigns to be activated: Andrzej-OZ/SQ1KSA, Marcin-
OZ/SQ1DOZ, Paweł-OZ/SQ1WLP, Maciej-OZ/SQ1MAK and Bartek-OZ/SQ1JGB. Acti-
vity will be on the various HF, VHF and UHF bands. Communications will
be conducted using various modes, including SSB, FT8 and RTTY. Listen
for QSL info....

Rolando, 9A3MR, reports: "The Solomon Islands Telecommunications Commission
(TCSI) has officially assigned the callsign H49A to our expedition.
This choice is significant, as it commemorates the 15th anniversary of
the mission of the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul of Croatia
in Buma (Malaita Island) and represents the friendship between our two
nations. We have also decided to allocate a portion of the expedition's
donations directly to the mission's charitable projects."
