Expedition 2026 –
HI2LD
We are pleased to
announce that on April
11, 2026, a group of
members and
operators from La Liga
Dominicana de Radio
Amateurs, Inc. will
conduct a
DXpedition to the
beautiful Catalina
Island—an exotic
destination located
off the eastern coast
of the Dominican
Republic. This event
will provide
amateur radio
operators worldwide
with the opportunity
to make contact
with this unique
island.
During this activity,
we will be operating
under the callsign
HI2LD across
various bands, with
the goal of making
contact with operators
worldwide
and promoting the
spirit of amateur
radio. This special
event will be
active on SSB, and we
anticipate a high
level of activity
throughout the
day.
Additionally,
certificates of
participation will be
issued to all
operators
who successfully
establish contact with
station HI2LD during
this DXpedition.
These certificates
will be available for
direct download via a
link on our
QRZ.com page, located
within our account
section. Don't forget
to log your
contact in your
logbook!
