Howdy DXers:

I apologize for my absence lately.  I have been in Smyrna, GA since 
September 10th, working on my dad's estate. Unfortunately, it has been a 
big mess for many different reasons, and I am receiving very little help 
from other family members.

While I have been here I have had no internet connectivity.  The only 
times I could catch up on my email is when I park in the McDonalds 
parking lot.  I fully expected to be back in South Florida within a few 
weeks, however, I have been here for a month and a half, and it doesn't 
look like I'll be returning soon!

I had to make arrangements for the November meeting.  I upgraded my 
phone and my phone service so that I could hot spot into the internet.  
It's not very fast but it's better than parking in the McDonalds parking 
lot.

Obviously, since Covid-19 is still with us, we will be having our 
meeting on Zoom as last time.  I obviously will not be able to take 
check-ins on the repeater.

I have little to report since I have been here, practically the entire 
time since the last meeting, and I have been extremely busy.

 1. During the last meeting the membership approved migrating to
    groups.io.  Nothing has been done on that front so far since I've
    been here. I intend to spearhead that migration after I return,
    hopefully sometime in November.
 2. Also during the last meeting the membership approved the memorial
    brick for Don.  That was also put on hold till I return.
 3. Normally, the November meeting is our Elections meeting.  (and it
    occurs a day after a very different election!)  Since very little
    has been done this entire year due to Covid-19, I recommend that we
    stick with the current set of officers for 2021.  I am fully open to
    other suggestions from the membership, either through email or at
    the meeting.
 4. We normally have our BoD meeting in October.  If the BoD wants, we
    still have time for a Zoom meeting.
 5. I am preparing an agenda for the general meeting.  I will publish it
    in the next day or two.  As always, I am open to additions of items
    that the membership would like to discuss.

Again, I apologize for my inability to serve more proactively during 
2020.  It has been a tough year for everyone.  I am looking forward to a 
much better 2021.
