Don was Always available...On the Repeater, For Help, for Meetings and
for anyone who asked for help with something.

Whenever the SFDXA needed something done we asked Don to be there, and
he Always was.

If there was a Tower Party, Don was there, most of the time with Hope.
Years ago in the 80's and 90's Don would be there for us to pick someone
up at the Airport for the Miami Hamfest, run an errand, pick up some
materials. If we needed someone at the table, Don was the one who always
volunteered. He was there for setting up the booth, and then he was
there when we needed someone to man it. He checked cards for hours. I
doubt there are many whose cards were not checked by Don. Don was always
there. He held the club Banner(for safekeeping) ready to bring it
anywhere. Hamfests, Free Fleas, Field Days. We used his DXCC cards for
the display at our Booth....Always. Because he had the largest collection.

He NEVER missed a Meeting (at every club he was a Member of). He went to
Every DX Dinner from the first one at Dayton. I can never recall a
Dayton that he did not attend.

Don was Always one of the last ones standing at the Dayton DX Dinner.
The Famous Sit down Roll Call of highest Total Number of Countries
Confirmed. He knew everyone and everyone knew Don.

I've known Don for many years(over 35)...even before I met him in person
his Signature is on the bottom of every one of my DXCC Century
Certificates. He was a member of the SFDXA before he moved to Florida.
He came to the Club Meetings every time he was in Florida before he
retired from the ARRL. And Every one after he came to Four land.

You never failed to receive a 73 from him on the Repeater...even if you
did not have a Contact with him on 2 meters that day, he said good bye
when you left the Frequency.

He never failed to ask how I was, and How is Barbara? Every conversation
he showed his interest in something he knew about you.

He's Always been there for Hope.

One more time..."Double U Three AAAA ZED DEE MOBILE!"

"OVER"

Rest In Peace Old Friend!...And Good DX.
