Hello Mike,

I have AT&T internet here and the only wiring to the modem is a 4 wire
data cable terminated on both ends with an RJ12 connector and the power
supply cord.  I have a TV plugged into the modem with a n RJ45 data
cable and use the wireless wifi for all other applications like the
e-mail I'm using now.  This is the same modem that we had when still
subscribed to the AT&T U-Verse cable TV service.

I am confused about the connections to the router from the phone line and broadband. It seems that I have too many wires and cables connected. I know someone out there knows about this stuff.
