[SFDXA] Internet connection

Is anyone out there using AT&T U-verse for their WiFi router?  My new computer has built in WiFi and I no longer need to use the wired ethernet connection as I did on my old computer.  I am confused about the connections to the router from the phone line and broadband.  It seems that I have too many wires and cables connected.  I know someone out there knows about this stuff.
