[SFDXA] Air conditioner interference

It's fairly common. Get the brand and model and call the manufacturer for
tips.

Things to check...
Bonding. Is you ham station ground bonded to the AC ground? Code requires
it.
I know you're a savy electrical guy and can do this without getting hurt,
so check the connections to AC and ground Maybe even take the wire nuts
loose and check them.

The computers inside the air handlers are old technology even it is a brand
new unit, which means that they're making more sin(x)/x noise than you
would expect. But the computer runs all the time. Do you have interference
all the time or just when the compressor is running? If so, likely
electronic, if not, motor noise. Either way, a properly grounded air
handler should be fairly quiet.

Finally... thermostat and wiring can be noisy, particularly those off brand
thermostats. Same test as above - noise all the time, may be the
thermostat. Put RF chokes on the wires going to the thermostat. Or take it
out of the circuit altogether and turn the AC on manually.

Let me know if I can help.
