[SFDXA] DQRM

I couldn't agree more. I am in Israel for 2 months and what I hear from this side of the world is similar. The term that comes to mind is the need for 'potty training'. I have never seen such a display of instantaneous pudding operators. There is however one country that really takes the cake. There must be a zillion of them and some running multiple kilowatts who believe that it is their right to call regardless of operator instructions as in a dxpedition. I thought at first it must be a language barrier but have since reconsidered. They know enough English to understand what 'UP' means. It's just ME ME ME.
On a happier note, my wife and I are seeing places in Israel that Moses forgot about. For a small country it is indescribable. This is my wife's 10th visit here and my 4th. Talk about ham sites - oh my gawsh. How would you like a plateau that has a negative horizon in all directions and when you look to the north, you see Lebanon, to the east - Jordan, to the west - the beautiful Med and it is beautiful. The Med was 1000 feet below.
I set up a station in Zichron Yaacov which consists of the Kenwood 590SG, the ALS-500M linear amplifier, the MFJ-4275MV common power supply and my own design suitcase antenna which works on 6 thru 160m with no compromise on the 6 - 40m bands and a high-Q, center-loaded coil for 60/75/80 and a separate LARGE coil for 160m. I am having a blast. Worked so far (3 weeks) 106 countries 800 Q's and generated some pretty big pileups. I have yet to work E44. I hear the station but I guess they don't hear me. I am very pleasantly surprised at the many contacts I have had with most of the moslem countries. The only exception has been Indonesia.
Well, that's it for me for now. I hear the states very well on 12, 15, 17, 20 and 30m. I use 4X/K2RR.
Shalom from Northern Israel. Please pass this along to the club if you like. I will be happy to make skeds if anyone wants to.

It has become a world wide plague, seems that the more rare the DX the more severe the DQRM. It also brings out the more incompetent operators.  I believe it is just a continuation of the general deterioration of the social fabric, lack of respect and the "must have it now" attitude of so many people - every where!   What to do about it? Not sure, however when hams begin full digital transmission schemes it may render QRM in effective as error correction could prevail.  Viva La Technology!

I agree...I had to abandon a chase last night for the same reason...
