Subject: T33A DXpedition
PCARS Members,
Al Hernandez – K3VN, one of our own members, left Saturday to participate in this DXpedition to Banaba, an island in the Pacific. At some point in time, I think when they return to Fiji he will operate using his own Fiji call, 3D2VN. Watch for spots for them on the DX Summit or with your favorite DX Spotting tool. There is more info at the links below.

T33 - The 5-18 November T33A DXpedition to Banaba [425DXN 1169,
www.t33a.com] will use an e-Pilot. It looks at the T33A blog and
collects comments and requests for the team that would normally be
emailed to one of several pilots: click on the "e-Pilot Request
Page" tab on http://banaba2013.wordpress.com/
The advance party will arrive in Tarawa on 31 October to pick up
local provisions, get the container through customs and load the
supplies onto the boat in preparation for the 3 November departure
to Banaba. Team members include AA4FL, AD6E, DJ5IW, DL5EBE,
DL6KVA, K3VN, K4ZLE, KD6XH, N1EMC, N6HC, N6HD, N7CQQ, N9NS, PY2PT,
W2IJ, W6KK, WA1F, WA1S and WA6FGV.
"We have coordinated our band plan with N8A/5W8A", the team says.
"There are also other DXpeditions that will be on at the same time,
so band plans may be dynamic...".

T33A will use the advanced version of DXA, the satellite-linked
system that allows DXers to view the status and activities of a
DXpedition in near-real-time (http://dxa2.org/t33a/). Logsearch and
OQRS for direct and bureau cards on Club Log; traditional QSL
requests go via W2IJ. The T33A logs will be posted to LoTW
approximately 6 months after the conclusion of the DXpedition.
