SFDXA will hold its March Meeting this Wednesday. All are welcome. 

Come join us for Dinner after 6. Dinner is a $7 donation to the club. Go to the Cafeteria. They close around 7 so get there early and join us in the Auditorium. Meeting starts at 7:33. 

Don N4TZH will give a brief update on the Miami Hamboree. 

Mike Raskin one of the original members of the club, will do a Presentation on the DX Marathon. All you need to know to work your first Marathon. 

Mike was first licensed as a Novice in June1956 as KN4KUZ. He passed his General in 1957 and become K4KUZ. After becoming of of the first members of the SFDXA He embraced DXing and contesting with a passion, earning the first SFDXA Hog Award in 1980, and reaching Top of the Honor Roll in 1993. Mike’s station has been featured on the front cover of CQ Magazine in April 1991 and May 1994. He is past President of the South Florida DX Association and a member of the Florida Contest Group. In 1997 he became W4UM, after a brief stint as K2SO. When not playing radio, Mike practices as a Neuroradiologist and an Attorney. His wife, Sherry, W4SLR, is very active on 6M. In 1998 they both guest operated the CQ-M Contest for two days as A47RS at the Royal Omani Radio Society club station. Mike operated fromNA-008, Eureka Weather Station on Ellesmere Island, as VY0/W4UM in April 1999, and from NA-141, Hutchinson Island, for the 2007 IOTA Contest, asW4H. Besides chasing new band countries for the ARRL Challenge Award, he is an IOTA chaser. In 2003, Mike and Sherry moved on the water to Sewall's Point, FL, where they are height-challenged. He has confirmed ALL current DXCC counties mixed, and has confirmed 338 current DXCC countries on CW. Mike is pursuing the 3,000 level of the ARRL DXCC Challenge and is currently at 2742. At theWednesday night meeting, he talk about how to run your first Marathon (not the 26.2 one).

Since Mike was the First Recipient of the SFDXA DX Hog Award now in it's 33 year, it is only appropriate for him to present it to the 2012 recipient.
