[SFDXA] It is more then just random images

Norm,
As I've mentioned, everything that you want done can be accomplished trivially
easily in Microsoft Power point. You can use any sort of images, text, audio,
captions, ... whatever ... that you want. The end product is a power point
presentation. Then you can run that presentation automatically in an endless
loop, full screen, transitioning from slide to slide every few seconds (your
choice of timing). This is simple to do, requires no other application to
display, and takes seconds per page to create. You can have the computer
equivalent of the "35mm film-slide carousel" very quickly. Furthermore, we can
start with a a basic core of slides, and as time permits during the Fest we can
add more slides.

Multiple people might prepare sections of slides independently, and combine the
whole thing easily into one document-- easy!. Perhaps delegate each member to
generate their own couple of pages, or documentation of certain events. Delegate
delegate delgate, eh?

The nice thing about doing this in power point is that the slides are incredibly
easy to manage / change / correct / enhance and to sort in any which way you
want (unlike hard coded web pages). Better yet, you can later generate
addressable web pages from the Power Point source very simply. The same slide
image pages can be EASILY rendered in a web friendly manner for the club web
pages. This web portion of the job is a fairly trivial task, but will take more
time than we have to the Ham Fest.

The starting point is, of course, preparing the power point slides. At about 2
minutes per page, we could finish 30 people at two pages per person in two
hours. That makes it a doable target for the Miami Ham fest. Rendering to web
pages will take a bit more effort, perhaps not in time for the Fest, but
certainly quicker that the two years when you embarked on something similar
originally (I prepared lots of member QSL card scans throughout 2010 for your
then QSL card initiative, and I remember supplying station and antenna pictures
as well, none of which ever made it to the K4FK pages).

Am I missing something here? You can make it as complex as you want, but in
reality, this is simple.
