[SFDXA] RECAP re: Reminder: SFDXA meeting tonight, with live Ham Jeopardy game

It appears that some people did not receive the below reminder email until today.  The meeting was last night (Wednesday), so don't come tonight (Thursday).

If you missed it, the meeting was a lot of fun, a bit different from the usual program.  We played the TV game Jeopardy, with all categories directly related to DX and ham radio.  Despite a few technical glitches, it was an entertaining game, with the outcome in doubt until Final Jeopardy.  All 3 teams incorrectly responded to the Final Jeopardy answer, so the winner was decided on the basis of wagers.  The winning team (Pete, Sebastian, Neil and Alan) received a $10 pre-paid VISA card from Andre N1AJV and Jane Freilich - State Farm Insurance.

Could you have done better?  The Final Jeopardy category was FCC Rules and Regulations.  The answer was, "It is the maximum power output on 60 meters."  Everyone got it wrong last night.  Do you know the correct question?  See below for the correct response.

Final Jeopardy -
All 3 teams responded, "What is 50 watts?"  That is wrong.  It was correct until March 2012, but the limit has now been increased.  The max is now...




100w e.r.p.  The same rule change authorized the use of digital modes on 60m.
