Kai,
Should have asked earlier. A suggestion, I get all my similar cables from
Marlin P. Jones here in Lake Park. You might find it a good idea to go online
check their catalog for cables and order a selection. USB family of cables, RCA
types, and a bunch of DB 9, 15 and 25 cables. Also all kinds of jack adapters,
mini to 1/4inch, 1/4in to mini (1/8) and made up cables mini to mini stereo and
such. Also cat 5 cables are available.
I have purchased a selection of these various cables in lengths from 3ft, 6ft,
10/12ft up to 100ft long. These cables are so cheap (usually less then $3.00).
I find that even if they do not have a cable termination combination I need I
buy a cable with one correct connector and now I only have to assemble a
connector to one end. Plus I often have the makings of a second cable from the
part I cut off (plan ahead and buy it long enough for two cables.
The also carry a broad range of DB connectors and all are very inexpensive -
less $1
Regards,
Norm

Subject: [SFDXA] Cable for K4FK
Can anyone donate a USB jumper cable for our club station K4FK?
Specs: USB 2.0/1.0 (i.e., 4 wires)
Connector at computer end: USB Type "A"
Connector at second end: USB Type "B"
Ferrite RFI suppressor near the Type "B" USB connector.
A clam-shell RFI suppressor would be a suitable alternative.
Please see the Figure under "Physical appearance" in

Thanks! and 73
Kai, KE4PT
