Amateur Radio Operators Needed!
"Home of the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade" - 7th Largest
Spectator Event in the Country ... Top 20th Parade in the World. From the
New River, the parade's traditional 100-plus boats, decorated in all manner
of Christmas cheer, will proceed north up the Intracoastal Waterway to their
traditional destination: Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach.
Time is drawing close for the 2011 Annual Winterfest Boat Parade. I need
Amateur volunteers for bridge positions and other assignments along the New
River. By volunteering, you get front row seats to the Winterfest Boat
Parade. This event is shown in many different countries with over 80 MILLION
VIEWERS.
December 10th is the annual Fort Lauderdale Winterfest Boat Parade. I
need one Amateur Radio operator for on each side of 7 bridges
throughout the parade and other positions along the Parade route.
Also if you or a friend who owns a boat and wants to be a security boat
operator for a better front row seat on the Parade route, then contact me
too.
In December , we will have a Control Boat meeting (PIZZA PARTY)
and after the Parade sometime in February, we will have a super volunteer
party.
All you need is a handheld with PL capability. An extra fully charged spare
battery, a headset and the desire to have fun. You will have a front row
seat to the parade since all the parade boats (100 of them) will pass right
through your Bridge.
For all bridge positions, you can bring one friend, wife OR husband to keep
you company.
Amateurs who have worked this Parade Last year, gets to work their same
location as last year, but you need to contact me by the 15th of November or
you position will be given away.
PLEASE PASS THIS MEMO ON TO OTHER AMATEURS AND OTHER RADIO CLUBS.
