I have an Alpha 86 amp that is currently on it's way back from Alpha repair.
It had an intermittent problem in the control panel.  They have repaired it
and is now in top condition.  It has pin diode switching.  Alpha wants to
replace this with vacuum relay switching.   The pin diodes are silent and
provide smooth QSK switching.  It should arrive here from Alpha on Friday
Feb 27, 2009.

 

Asking $3000 for the Alpha 86

 

Reason for sale:   I now have an Alpha 87A and a Elecraft K3.
