[South Florida DX Association] [FCG] Antenna Mounting on 2009 Explorer

When I originally started looking for a screwdriver antenna for my truck,
I saw a couple of mounts from Diamond (AES carries that brand) that
would attach to hatchback doors.
I tried to figure out how to mount one like that to one of the back windows
on my truck, but no soap. I settled on a mag mount with a rubber protector
on the bottom.
You should have lots of choices for a dual-band antenna so that shouldn't
be too difficult. I really did like the looks of that Diamond mount. It was
designed
to give you several options on how the antenna sits on the mount - I suppose
because the angle of a hatchback can vary from car to car.
As for the coax - I routed it under the truck and through one of the
"knockouts"
in the floorboard.
