And don't use windex on tubes either if you want to know where to put 'em back. It removes the lettering on those too. (shields red face)
Lotsa what doesn't work. Wonder what does.

DON'T use 409 !!! I used to work for Clorox company, and one ingredient is caustic, and will eat up circuit boards and components

Boy oh boy I've heard that one discussed many times over the years on all the Boatanchor websites.
Windex works good and evaporates quickly. Careful to let it dry before you turn it on. I can send you many email discussions and I will.
409 and Simple Green are good but can be destructive as they harsh. Do not use cleaners on the glass dials. They will remove the lettering.
