[South Florida DX Association] N2D update #1

We have 4 operators for N2D Special Event Station on Feb 23, 2008.

We'll be operating from Honeymoon Island NA034.  We can always use 
additional help.  Another station or operator someone to talk to the 
visitors.  Each time there is interest from hams and non-hams alike.  This 
is a good time to do a little public relations for the hobby.

If you can help or think you might stop by during the day we would enjoy 
seeing you.

Many requests have been received asking us to operate on 40 M for the 
Amateurs in Florida who we can hear on 20M.  Last year's operation was a 
success.  Bob K2EUH worked most of the QSO on CW.

Planned on air time is 9 AM to 3 PM local.  We can get into the park early 
and get a few extra QSO's in the log. If we are still busy we'll stay longer 
in the afternoon.

Coffee & donuts will be there in the morning.

In the past we have operated from the area of bath house 3.  Since last year 
the island has had a lot of work done.  We may operate at in the area of the 
food concession parking area.  Since we operate from generated power we do 
not need to be near the buildings.

The solar forecast is of a good day.  Let's hope for a warmer and less windy 
day.
