GREAT NEWS - PERMISSION TO GO TO VU7 RECEIVED!

As many of  you may be aware, VU2RCR Chandru when he was President,
had made an  application on behalf of ARSI to visit VU7 a couple of
years ago, but nothing  came of it in spite of numerous reminders etc.

We re-started the process  early this year and after a lot of
continuous follow up, we are happy to say  that formal WPC permission
has been received by ARSI with the call sign  VU7LD.

The permission is for a period of one month - from 1st December to
31st December 2006.

We will work out details of actual dates of  operation etc soon and
keep everyone informed.

A lot of help will be  needed by way of funding, equipment, logistics
etc to make this a great event  and we are sure we can count on
everyone to pitch in.
