For the record, I use XP on all my computers. I was asking the question for someone else. 

All of the computers at work have XP with SP2, so I was not able to check there. I have a Windows 2K install disk but did not want to go to the bother of installing it to check this one feature.

No one said it is built in.  So it looks like third party software is required for this feature.
