[South Florida DX Association] W4MOT/N4MOT update

QST:

Motorola Amateur Radio Club is conducting an equipment  upgrade on the
W4MOT VHF repeater.  The projected completion date is mid  February 2006.
The new equipment consists of a Motorola VHF Quantar base  station,
capable of analog and digital modes.  The transition to the  new
equipment is expected to be transparent to the analog users.   Those
interested in the digital capability will find technical details  posted
on the repeater web site (address to be announced soon).  The  digital
mode is based on an open commercial standard known as APCO 25.  
Currently the W4MOT VHF repeater continues to operate on a backup gear
on  146.19--146.79, transmit PL 100 Hz.

A similar upgrade is planned on  N4MOT, our club companion UHF repeater.
The equipment has been received and  is being bench tested.
