Hi Pete,

If there is the slightest indication that the originator is a non-native
English speaker, as in "Please advice what to do", that alone should set off
alarm bells. It certainly does for me.

I routinely forward such messages to the affected companies' security
administrators, and sometimes to law-enforcement as well.
