[South Florida DX Association] New eBay Scam - Beware

Hey Guys,

You think that other eBay scam was bad... the one wanting 
you to reregister your information.  How about this one?  I 
got this today.  I have forwarded it to the fraud squad at 
eBay, PayPal and bellsouth.  Someone is now trying to make 
it look like someone else owes me money, but I'll bet 
dollars to doughnuts that the money, if it were to be paid, 
would never get to my account.

The message I got was:

I regret that I must contact you this way and in this 
situation but I have no clue what is going on. I have in my 
ebay menu a reminder that I have to pay for a cell phone I 
bought from you $500. This is very annoying since I've 
didn't even place a bid and I am a new member. I want to ask 
you if this is a mistake or something else? I will not pay 
for the item. But still there is a worry and I do hope that 
you will clear the situation. Please advice what to do. I am 
waiting for your reply
