[South Florida DX Association] Melbourne Hamfest Cancelled

FYI the following was received from PCARS President Andy N3MCB.
PCARS sponsors the Melbourne Hamfest.

I regret to inform you that we have decided to cancel the Melbourne 
hamfest for 2004. I have been operating in support of the hurricane 
emergency since Thursday as have many others. All of us have sustained 
some damage to our homes. The PCARS board of directors feels there is no 
way we can ask our membership to put on a hamfest in 3 days time when 
many of them are still without power and struggling to make repairs. The 
Melbourne auditorium is usually booked a year in advance so I don't 
think a reschedule will be possible. We are meeting with the auditorium 
tomorrow though to discuss.
