The Bearcat 250 keypad is a metallic foil on plastic film affair.
The foil gradually deteriorates, leaving bare spots on the plastic where
a contact used to be. This usually occurs with the Enter, Scan and Manual
keys first, for obvious reasons.
I don't know how successful one would be using metallic paint or "trace
repair" paint to repair this.
I think it has been tried in the past.
I have some extra BC250 keyboards.
I even have an extra brand new BC250.
