Subject: [Scanner] what freqs does AF use?
A new military radio system is jamming remote-control garage doors in
communities near this Florida Panhandle base.
I don't know what frequencies they are using, but I'm willing to bet it is
a Part 15 issue. The garage door openers use the freqs at low power under
the requirement that they don't cause interference to licensed services,
and must accept any interference caused by licensed users. If that's the
case, the Air Force doesn't have to change anything if they don't want to.
