SATERN Reports from the field:
Paul Cook N6RPF San Diego area SATERN Coordinator reports that SATERN is
fully called out to assist with communications for a number of canteens
in the San Diego area. He says the situation is busy and intense. They
are overwhelmed with work there. Getting to the area to help right now is
difficult because many highways are closed, and people are discouraged
from using the ones that are open. He states that shelters are open in
the area.=A0 SATERN is running on the primary frequency of 7233.=A0 Many hav=
e
had to evacuate their homes. Some commercial radio stations have had to
go off the air due to the closeness of the fire. He speculates that
people are sheltered who don't even know for sure that they are homeless
and requests prayer.
