[Scanner] Uniden BC-245XLT memory expansion

I saw a posting on one of the message boards on the
www.strongsignals.net website on this topic.  As the proud owner of
BC-245XLT scanners, I was keenly interested in this, so I went to the
company's website to get information.   The information was NOT on the
website, but here's my email and the response:

    Yes, we can do the modification to double the memory on the
BC245XLT..  It
is not on our website yet.  The switch gives you a complete second
memory
set.  All features of the regular scanner can be performed in the second

memory set.  It is just like having two scanners, but you can only
operate
one of them at a time.  The cost of the mod will be the same as for the
SC200, $80.00 plus $7.00 for return S&H.  We will start selling this
modification for the 245 in the next 1-2 weeks.  We are waiting on the
"go-ahead" from the patent agent.
