I will repeat once again... The 796D in your possession CAN monitor the
IN/IL/MI radio systems. The scanner before (BC785D) was not capable of
receiving the Michigan system because it was completely digital (9600 baud
control channel.) The IN system is not, therefore the original digital
scanner (785) could get it, the 796 can get it, and the 996 can get it.

That is again incorrect. The 996 was simply introduced because it has many
many more features, and the 796 is two years old now. If you can't pick it
up on the 796D you will not be able to pick it up on the 996 (and not the
Pro96 or Pro2096 either.)

I hate to be rude - but did you read any of the posts? You scanner WILL WORK
with Safe-T. You must have programmed it wrong.
