Hi Group,Whatever scanner equipment we use is not important,What is important is that we use our equipment the way that suits us,So before I would spend money on a Radio Shack Product,I would compaire prices, etc But My vote is still for Uniden for the Uniden BC-785D, Uniden BC-796D, Uniden BC-780 and the ,The News media in the Indianapolis Market as far as the Newsrooms including the Indianapolis Star does not have any Radio Shack Products in the News gathering operations, These people should know which radios to use because the they are hearing what is happing in the Indianapolis operational area 24/7,Also the News  Media use Uniden scanners in the station vechicles again not Radio Shack.that should tell you something about which radios the use to get the story when they need answers.I own 15 Uniden radios that I use everyday and I am always in the know of what is happining before anyone elese knows .
