[ScanIndiana] What kind of scanner to use?

Greenwood PD and Johnson County Sheriff, along with more and more other
agencies operate on the SAFE-T system. This system is a networked 800 MHz
trunked system with APCO-25 digital modulation on most of the Public Safety
agencies. To properly monitor this system, you will need a scanner capable
of monitoring digital traffic. The Radio Shack (GRE) PRO-96, Uniden BCD296,
and Uniden BCD396 will all do this.

There is a Yahoo group for the SAFE-T system at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SAFET/ if you are interested in more info on
the system. It is designed to be state wide, with around half of the sites
up and operating now.

Enjoy!

Subject: [ScanIndiana] What kind of scanner to use?

I live in Greenwood, Indiana. I'm new to this and just wanted to make sure
I purchased a scanner that will pick up the Greenwood Police department and
Johnson county Sheriff.

Here's the link to the frequencies and such:

Can someone take a look at that and tell me what features I need to look for
in a scanner? Thanks!
