Well, most of the race teams will be scrambled and/or encrypted.  So
that's likely a bust.  Some can be easily monitored.

Also scan 440-450 MHz for business and personal radios from outside the
US.  The race teams and foreign fans will bring their radios from
overseas.  Particularly listen on the PMR446 frequencies because they
will be absolutely _packed_ with people.  I've sat hear the last few
years and found hundreds of frequencies in use at the track from 440-450
MHz.

Of course, for the first few years the TETRA trunked systems were
operating on 440-450.  They should, in theory, have that corrected this
year.  And there is PC-based trunking software for TETRA systems if you
should happen to have a spare scanner to monitor control data and a
second computer controlled scanner.
