OK, I guess I mis-understood your reply. I have both a 296 and a PRO-96.
While the PRO-96 does seem to have better audio decoding quality, they both
have their place, I guess. Of course, I don't have any 9600 baud systems
around, either.

I didn't say the 796 wouldn't do 9600bd.
I have both the 796 and a Pro 96, and the 96, which is what the 2096
basicaly is, does a better job with the 9600bd systems.
