Sorry that that happened - we Amateurs are SUPPOSED to be
"gentlemen of the airwaves" but unfortunately as you can
gather, some of us are NOT.

As for putting up a GMRS repeater, I have had some interest
in the idea myself but not enough time to pursue it.  You
may wish to look up the GMRS rules in 47 CFR 95 for a start
as I seem to recall there was some poop in there on the 
subject.

>From there, heck, just run a search on "GMRS repeater" in
Yahoo or Google and see what turns up.  Let us know about
your progress, as I have an interest and perhaps others do
to.
