RIT=Rapid Intervention Team
As resources arrive at a fire scene, the incident commander assigns various
responsibilities to arriving units. One of the first assignments is the RIT,
they suit up to be able to immediately respond to any fire fighters down or
civilians that need rescuing from the structure.

Subject: [ScanIndiana] RIT team?
I have heard many references to a "RIT team", or something like that, when
monitoring working fires. What is this?
Thanks for the info.
