Hi everyone,
I live in Southern Indiana right across the Ohio River
from Louisville, KY. I am kinda new to scanning, and
I have a Pro-95 scanner and just can't get this
trunking thing. I have the freeware Win95. I've
tried to look for some frequencies to enter but it is
obviously over my head. For instance, what is 800mhz
trunking? Caesar's of Indiana is on the 800mHz
system. Will my Pro-95, which is Motorola I, II, IIi,
and Edacs capable pick up on this?
Here are some more questions:
When entering trunked systems, EDACS has to start on
001, 101, 201, etc, right? And both Motorola I and II
can start on 000. Now, can I have two Edacs systems
in the same bank? For example, if there are
frequencies entered from 001 to 005 and then I enter
more from 021 to 025. Can I do that or does it HAVE
to be in 001?? I know I can't mix Mot or Edacs. Now,
the same goes for Motorola. Can I put a few
frequencies starting from 000 to 006, then have
conventional freqs from 007 to say 015, then more
motorola freqs from 016 on? I guess what I'm getting
at, can I only have one trunked system per bank?
Also, does anyone in my area already have a list made
up of trunked systems with fleet maps for any of these
areas: New Albany, Clarksville, Jeffersonville,
Georgetown, Floyds Knobs, Sellersburg, and surrounding
areas in Indiana as well as Louisville, KY and
surrounding areas?
I'd love to get any lists that I can get, both trunked
and conventional, especially any "unknown"
frequencies, or just anything that is interesting to
listen to.
I've had this Pro-95 for about a month now and haven't
done any trunking with it. I've enjoyed all the
conventional frequencies but now I'd like to get my
money's worth out of the thing. ;) Fleet maps and
the like are beyond me!!
Thanks for any help!
~~~Stacey~~~
