HI John, nice to hear from you. Well, I can't add much to what the other
person said to you in another email about 800 mcs, but as for listening to
cell phones......it is illegal, but everyone does it at least for a while
if their scanner receives it. However it is so boring that no one does it
for long. Also, as the talker moves around, they automatically change cell
sites, and change frequency, so you lose them fairly quickly. If you want
my soliloquy on trunking which is what most of what you will hear on '800',
let me know. I'll send you a short rundown. I have a QSL card from K9KFL,
is that you or your Dad? It is dated 11/3/1959. If you're curious, I can
scan it and send it to you. Keep in touch. Stubby W9HTK
