Is the Toledo system a Motorola system? Motorola
is better quality, in my opinion. I base that on
the years I have been a scanner fan. I bet Toledo
has many repeaters for their system. That is
about the only way some systems will work as our
officials found out. We do not have a single
skyscraper in our area. The tallest building is
about 300 ft. What was discovered during the
testing of the Erickson system was that the
signals could not get out of a metal building or
basements. So several more repeaters were added
to the system. The trunked system is great but it
is the mechanical / electrical problems that are
the problem. The technological advancements are
so far ahead of us that it will take years for
the bugs to be worked out. In the mean time our
taxes and fees are going up and up, while good
paying jobs are going outbound, and soon the tax
base for funding governments will be dried up and
cities will be using semaphore for communications
