[ScanIndiana] Greenwood PD Scraps Digital Radios

 I have heard that a lot of public saftey agencies are having big problems 
with their digital systems. I don't think these digital systems are going to 
work that great. Digital works great when it is transmitted through a 
satellite, but when it is transmitted through a ground antenna, it stinks. I 
know people who is having problems with their new HDTV's. Not only that, I 
got rid of my digital Nextel cell phone because the sound quality and range 
was bad. I think a lot of these radio manufractures are way ahead of 
themselves.

 I read where the Sheriff in Orange County, California said that in his 35 
years in law enforcement, he has never heard such bad radio transmissions 
then the digital radios are putting out.
