Thanks for your reply Larry. In 1980's I began
the study of the various systems by reading
articles like yours, and the pros and cons on
each system in various communication magazines
and from information sent to me from
communications compaines.
There is a reason behind the "madness" in
community communications. I really do not believe
that there is a "consipricy" against the listing
public with the new systems. Rather I believe the
various communication giants are using "fear
factor" techniques with police agencies in their
sales pitch with those agencies to make the most
money they can make and that is THE AMERICAN WAY.
I also believe the police departments around the
country are NOT taught the FCC rules and regs
about their freq's. The men and women in the
police forces around the country really believe
that they "own" the freq's and they get so
paranoid when they think their freq's are being
violated.
Our police do need good communications in certain
instances such as a raid on a drug group. But
there are ways out there to do it the proper
manner without shutting out the people who pay
their bills. W9FPJ
