The Salute to America 250 radios must be very low power, with or without repeaters.
I programmed by DMR capable scanner with info from RadioReference and even with the discone on the roof, I have not even seen a signal here in Silver Spring.
>From the top of the hill in my backyard I have line of sight to the lights on top of Washington Monument (obviously with magnification!).
Very disappointed that none of the flyover aircraft came over the house on the way back to Andrews, which they usually do.
All in all, It has been cool in the AC listening to DC EMS calls and combat air comms and watching MSNBC.
