According to those people who have nothing better to do with their lives than hang out around railroad tracks watching trains go by, the train transferred from BNSF to CSX at Birmingham AL yesterday. It then headed NE through Georgia. Its train symbol is CSX S554.

Depending on where the train crossed the Mississippi, one possible routing would have it coming through Rockville. It's not coming that way. It will come through Alexandria and Arlington. It will also come through Ashland VA. If that happens in daylight, it will be videoed extensively.

Trains like this are subject to delay, as the tanks are so wide that they overhang the sides of the flatcar a wee bit. The trains often wait at a suitable point for trains headed in the opposite direction to go by.

Back in July 2019, the last time this happened, the equipment was offloaded at Benning Yard in Southeast.
