Mr. Henney,
It is my understanding that MCPD plans to encrypt dispatch radio
communications beginning in June - it will not be in April. They already
have certain channels encrypted, which they use for certain situations.
MCPD dispatch channels will continue to be recorded and available through
MPIA Requests. Additionally, police dispatched incidents

a dataset on Data Montgomery and are updated four times a day.
There are several departments in Maryland who have encrypted recently --
Anne Arundel County just encrypted their radios last fall.
