I've got a 100, 2 200's, a Unication G5 and an old 396XT at home now,
had a TRX-2 and a 436 in the past, both have ended up with my dad in PA
when they went onto ICORRS. Using any number of APX's I have access to
as baselines, I have found the 100/200 to be far superior to anything
else on the simulcast systems, except the G5 which is just a tad better,
but it fits a specific need and isn't a scanner.
I know that people are not as happy with the sensitivity on V/U/AM etc.,
with them, I don't typically use them for that, I've got V/U amateur
rigs I use and when I have I don't hold high hopes because like in my
car, I've got it on a 700/800/GPS blade in a side window - does great
for 800 systems where you are, don't expect much from V systems like
STARS and don't get a lot. But that's the antenna.
