[Scan-DC] Montgomery County on Blue Alert

This has been happening regularly. COVID cases are again jamming hospitals. This results in nowhere to put patients that arrive via ambulance. That results in EMS units being held for extra long times at ERs before they can unload their patients. That results in fewer EMS units in service even though there are no weather events or catastrophes, other than the catastrophe of COVID.

Right, that’s why I asked. It was concerning, especially since there were no apparent weather incidents, MCI’s or anything else out of the ordinary besides having to dispatch an ambulance from station 20 for a cardiac arrest to Georgia/Bel Pre area during late afternoon rush hour just after the Blue Alert went out.

We call that Level ZERO if it's the EMS term. Meaning - NO AMBULANCES AVAILABLE.
People would be surprised how frequently it happens everywhere...
