[Scan-DC] HF Hurricane Dorian freqs

On another site, I had mentioned that the MWARA frequencies might be
checked for activity; indeed, Hugh's list shows air recon heard on 8918,
which is a member of the CAR-B family used by New York Radio.  You can
find a good list of these frequencies, and a basic map, here...

Certainly not all MWARA traffic will be hurricane related; not unlike
the early days of trunk scanning, you're going to hear a lot - just to
hear what you want to. And no, there isn't a talkgroup involved here (heh)

Maritime is another place where you might get something. Certainly the
NAVTEX bulletins on 518 Khz, and the SITOR-B broadcasts from USCG Boston
may have something. And I wouldn't ignore the FAX broadcasts, either.
See here for all the sites with schedules...

Software for covering these modes is easy to get (including the ALE
mentioned in Hugh's list). There's even some for Android devices, and
Java driven software, too. You can find links to all of that here. The
software isn't all that expensive, and a good HF portable with an
external antenna is all you really need to hear them...

Don't have a HF radio? How about using a web radio, and patching the
audio to your PC?  Take a look here for some suggestions...
