[Scan-DC] Hurricane Hunters frequencies

Thanks Michael. That's what I figured. I did go ahead and program in the frequencies that Greg copied, and I have been scanning through those frequencies for a few hours today and haven't heard anything. By scanning, I mean that my receiver stops on each frequency for 2 sec then goes to the next. It's not really possible to scan HF single-sideband because a squelch won't work right. None of those frequencies is listed in Stegman's list, so they may not be used any more.

By the way, I discovered that NOAA publishes a "Plan of the Day," which indicates when Hurricane Hunter planes will be flying over the next 24 hours. The link is https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/MIAREPRPD.shtml. Because the Plan covers a peculiar 24-hour period (7 AM - 7 AM EDT), you may also need to refer to the previous day's Plan of the Day, which is at this link: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/MIAREPRPD_last.shtml.

I did monitor some of the MWARA frequencies too, but those frequencies have a lot of traffic, all (or perhaps virtually all) of which is not hurricane hunter related.

Last I heard, they're all on SATCOM now - they have yet to be reported
on the UDXF group during this event. But there are other HF impacted
frequencies - see this message from RadioReference, where Hugh Stegman's
list is quoted...
