Doug could take something as simple as a battery card we older folks  all
used and make it into a topic of conversation. He could relate and we
related to the same things. Our "Hobby" that is to speak scanning opened
many doors to us. With me it was a door into the weird world of the Secret
Service and I bet I am still in their database, no worries :)  Heathkit
decided to pay more money LOL But for others it led to broadcast careers
with WJLA or  law enforcement or other associated work like IT or RF
fields. We all grew up listening rather than talking and sharing rather
than keeping secrets although some of us held a SECRET clearance and likely
still do (or better :)

Doug K you can rest easy knowing your input to our hobby will be remembered
and in the end that's really why we have children and lives is to teach and
be taught, and hopefully remembered for being nice people in a decidedly
un-nice world.
